Event Overview

Le Gala will host an NBA 2K26 tournament, limited to 16 players. The competition will feature PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X consoles across 2 screens for the preliminary rounds, with the grand final showcased on Le Gala’s big screen TV at 7:00 PM.


Tournament Format

  • Players: 16 participants
  • Bracket Style: Single elimination (16 → 8 → 4 → 2 → Champion)

Preliminary Rounds (Round of 16 & Quarterfinals)

  • Estimated total time: ~2 hours
  • Quarter length: 3 minutes
  • 2 games played at a time across both setups

Semi-Finals (Final 4)

  • Estimated total time: ~25 minutes (2 games played simultaneously)
  • Quarter length: 4 minutes

Final Match (Championship)

  • Start time: 7:00 PM
  • Quarter length: 5 minutes
  • Played on Le Gala’s big screen TV


Gameplay Rules

  1. Teams
    • Players may select any NBA team.
    • If both players choose the Oklahoma City Thunder, a coin toss will decide.
  2. Difficulty Level
    • All matches played on Hall of Fame difficulty.
  3. Settings
    • Fatigue: ON
    • Injuries: OFF
    • 24-second shot clock: ON
    • Game speed: Standard (default)
  4. Controller Setup
    • Players must use provided controllers (unless approved to bring personal).
  5. Disconnects / Pauses
    • One pause allowed per half (excluding timeouts).
    • Accidental disconnects will result in replaying from the previous score/time.
  6. Sportsmanship
    • Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.

Schedule

  • 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM → Player check-in & bracket assignments
  • 4:00 PM – 5:20 PM → Round of 16 (8 games total, 2 at a time)
  • 5:20 PM – 6:00 PM → Quarterfinals (4 games total, 2 at a time)
  • 6:00 PM – 6:25 PM → Semi-finals (2 games played simultaneously)
  • 7:00 PM → Championship final on big screen
  • 7:30–7:45 PM → Winner announced & prize presentation
